Cygrid was founded in Berlin by experienced technology and cybersecurity leaders who have built, scaled, and secured complex enterprise systems. With backgrounds spanning security architecture, risk management, and data-driven platforms, the team brings deep operational expertise - not just theory. We understand the identity sprawl, governance gaps, and execution friction enterprises face because we’ve operated inside those environments. Cygrid is built from that firsthand experience: practical, measurable, and designed for real-world enforcement.

Berlin

Berlin stands among Europe’s most dynamic startup ecosystems - a city where ambitious founders, experienced operators, and global investors come together to build category-defining companies.

With deep roots in fintech, AI, cybersecurity, SaaS, and enterprise software, Berlin has evolved from a creative startup hub into a serious technology powerhouse. The ecosystem combines strong technical universities, international engineering talent, and access to top-tier venture capital, enabling startups to scale from early traction to global expansion.

The city’s international DNA makes it uniquely positioned for cross-border growth. English is the operating language for many startups, and startups gain immediate exposure to European and global markets. Berlin also offers proximity to large enterprise customers across Germany and the EU — one of the world’s most important economic regions.

Beyond capital and talent, Berlin fosters a culture of bold thinking and execution. Operators with experience from scale-ups and exits actively mentor the next generation of startups. Communities around AI, cybersecurity, deep tech, and B2B SaaS collaborate closely, accelerating product development and market access.
